This unique IIT will be held at Kiponniemi Activity Center located in the middle of the beautiful lake district of Finland, about 18 km from the city of Jyväskylä. Finland is the land of a thousand lakes and our setting is a peninsula surrounded by water. Let’s warm our hearts in the many saunas on location and cleanse ourselves in the clean Finnish waters. Kiponniemi is a very popular all-season destination for seekers of a peaceful holiday experience. Outdoor wooden shelters, lean-tos, and excellent campfire possibilities throughout the area provide rest places for picnics in the woods. Kiponniemi calls you to come and stay, and enjoy its peaceful natural surroundings by the clean peninsula waters and is a perfect place to center your mind, spirit, and practice of NVC.
On July 3rd when we gather, the sun will be setting at 10:45 pm and rising up again at 3 am. Between these two times is perpetual sunrise and sunset that will bathe our dream states and usher us from one day of connection and learning to the next. We will experience the shifted qualities of space and time as the daylight stretches into the night and allow ourselves to be infused by the energy of the midnight sun and let the long shadows of the twilight hours invite us into an exploration of long shadows in our lives.
The weather in July is usually the warmest of the year in Finland – during the days from about 20–30 Cº (68–86 Fº) and during the nigths from about 10–15 Cº (50–59 Fº).
The Venue
Kiponniemi offers comfortable accommodation in 1–3 person rooms and loft beds, which are located in several buildings on the campus – The Main Building, the new building called Awakening, and wooden houses. The number of single and double rooms is limited and also depends of the size of the group. Other facilities are two saunas by the shore of the lake and a fireplace room for 12 people. Prices include three meals per day and afternoon coffee/tea. The venue also offers vegetarian, vegan and other options. Please indicate your choice in the IIT application form.
There are yoga mats and blankets available at the venue. You might like to have water bottles for hot and cold drinks with you.
You are also welcome to come earlier and leave later for extra costs – share also your planned extra nights in the venue registration form.

Commute daily
We invite you to stay with us for the entire time, as evenings and mornings can be a place and time for some extra activities, offered content, music, light talks, a peaceful walk, or a cozy rest. However, if you live nearby, it is understandable if you choose to drive daily to the venue.
In the Commute daily package, we have included two meals per day (lunch and dinner), and coffee breaks during the day including coffee and tea. If you would like to join us for breakfast or evening snacks (not included in the package price), please let us know in the venue registration form.
