Marianne Göthlin (Sweden)
CNVC Certified NVC Trainer
Since being introduced to NVC in the early 90s, the awareness of needs, the spirituality of giving from willingness, and the guidance on living my values have deeply nourished me. Empathy moves me. I continue to find it inspiring whenever there is space for deep listening and genuine connection with needs.
My focus is on integrating NVC into my life—living it wherever I go and sharing it with others. I take time to understand myself and others and strive to contribute to mutuality. The ability to engage in empathic dialogue has become a growing focus in my trainings. Together with a designer, I have created graphic materials that highlight the beauty of the NVC process and offer tools to simplify and support its practice.
Since 1998, I have offered trainings, programs, and projects, and have served as a trainer at International Intensive Trainings (IITs). I have a life-long engagement in education, using the NVC process to foster compassionate relationships in learning environments at all levels.
In 2010, I was part of initiating the NVC in Education Europe project. We now offer Mutual Education Laboratory events to support shared learning within the NVC network and to inspire school development grounded in NVC values.
Education is where I feel most hopeful about the future. Sharing NVC with “school people” connects me with hope, community, joy, and meaningful contribution.
